C-FRAME VERTICAL CNC CENTER
VECTOR 850 M SIThe Vector series is the compact all-in-one machining solution, designed and preconfigured for complex manufacturing challenges. The machines are designed using the latest FEM analysis software. The production takes place under strict quality control in order to guarantee perfect execution. Both the tried and tested Meehanite cast and the delta construction of the column ensure additional stability of the machine frame. The consistently high-quality components guarantee smooth operation during multiple shifts.

With the 3D workpiece simulation, SINUMERIK offers you optimum help and security when programming and calculating quotations.
Contour areas that cannot be machined with large-diameter milling cutters are automatically recognised by the cycle for contour pockets and studs. These areas can be specifically reworked with a suitable smaller tool without having to machine the entire pocket or tenon again. If you want to mill several pockets and avoid unnecessary tool changes, it makes sense to clear out all pockets first and then remove the remaining material. In this case, you must specify the tool that was used to clear the pockets in the "Reference tool TR" parameter when clearing residual material.
While the workpiece is being machined, the tool paths can be drawn on the control unit screen in top view, 3-sided view and 3D view. The display and views of the workpiece correspond to the graphical simulation.
For the two variants Sinumerik 828D and Sinumerik 828D Advanced, Siemens is also offering a capacitive touch display with a 15.6-inch screen diagonal for the first time with the Panel Processing Unit (PPU) 290. The touch display can be operated using single-touch gestures. According to Siemens, the full QWERTY keyboard integrated into the housing below the screen enables fast input, for example for programming CNC tasks. The wider 16:9 screen with a resolution of 1366 x 678 pixels offers more space for detailed displays. This makes the 15.6-inch display particularly suitable for displaying two channels, for example during turning and grinding, on the Sinumerik 828D Advanced.
The ultra-compact OMP40-2 (40 mm diameter) touch-trigger probe with optical transmission provides a flexible probing solution. The OMP40 is suitable for small to medium machining centres.
The ultra-compact OMP40-2 (40 mm diameter) touch-trigger probe with optical transmission provides a flexible probing solution. The OMP40 is suitable for small to medium machining centres. The OTS 3D touch-trigger tool setter with optical signal transmission can be used for on a wide range of tools on small to medium machining centres. It is compatible with Renishaw optical modulated receivers and can be used as part of a twin probe system. The robust and cable-free design allows freedom of table movement, ideal for twin pallet or rotary table machines.

1. Workpiece measuring cycles (CYCLE9xx) These cycles are usually used with a radio or infrared measuring probe to set the zero point (G54, G55, etc.) or to check geometries.
Set edge: Determination of the position of a single surface in X, Y or Z.
Align edge: Measurement of two points on a straight line. The control calculates the inclination of the workpiece and enters this as the basic rotation at the zero point.
Measure angle: Determines the angle of a surface relative to the machine axis.
2. Tool measuring cycles Here, the tool is measured against a fixed probe (e.g. Renishaw) or by laser.
Measure length: The tool moves in Z to the probe to determine the exact length L1.
Measure radius: The tool probes laterally to calibrate the radius (important for milling cutter corrections).
