Machine Design

Main spindle and drives

• The adjustable speed of the grinding discs enables an easy adaptation to the material of the workpiece
• High-quality motor bearings and precision manufacturing ensure quiet, low-vibration operation up to maximum speed
• The motor is also characterised by low heat generation and a long service life

Handling

• The speed can be gradually adjusted between 900 and 3000 rpm
• The minimum, medium and maximum speed can be selected directly or it is also possible to select all speeds in between in steps of 100 rpm
• This precise adjustment also enables reliable reproducibility of the sanding results
• The current speed is clearly shown on a digital display
• By adjusting the speed, the heat development during grinding can be reduced, which is important when sharpening tools, for example
• The operator can determine the optimum speed for each application

Equipment

• The double sanding block is equipped with adjustable workpiece supports for precise sanding results
• The safety equipment complies with current safety standards
• The grinding disc covers are prepared for an suction system

The grinding wheel holder on the lathe has a diameter of 15.88 mm (5/8”). An adapter to 32 mm is included as standard equipment.
