Collet chucks to fit compact conventional lathes from the basic series and other models. These lathe chucks require a cylindrical main spindle nose or flange and offer a clamping range of 2-25 mm when used with 5C collets. The advantage of a collet lathe chuck lies in the slim design and the large clamping surface that is gentle on the workpiece. With very good concentricity, these chucks show their strengths when small-diameter workpieces are machined at high rpms.
