With a grinding process, a relatively fine processing of the surface is usually carried out. There are now a large number of different grinding machines. Conventional and NC or CNC-controlled cylindrical and bottle grinding machines usually require an appropriate grindstone to process the workpiece. Tool grinding machines, as well as belt and disc grinding machines, can also be equipped with a sanding belt or sandpaper, depending on the design.
