Machine Frame

• This machine features a very rigid construction with thick-walled column and large throat
• The drill table features motorized table height adjustment and can be tilted 45° to either side
• Crosswise arranged T-slots offer a wide variety of clamping possibilities
• The table’s swivel and rotation functions simplify the alignment of different workpiece shapes and clamping tools with the drill spindle
• The central coolant return is integrated in the drill table for even more convenience
• The drill press base features a large, precision-machined setup area with parallel clamping slots

Spindle head

• A precision-stepped spindle gear drive allows for a wide rpm range with high torque across the entire speed range
• The current speed is shown on a digital display on the machine control panel
• The 4-step feed gear is integrated in the drill head and runs in an oil bath for low maintenance
• The automatic quill feed features an electromagnetic clutch for smooth and comfortable shifting
• The drill depth can be limited in the automatic feed via an electronic depth stop
• After reaching the desired drill depth, the feed will automatically shut off, and the quill will be returned to its zero position via spring force
• If the user selected the thread cutting function, this stop will also define the desired thread depth
• Upon reaching the set position, the machine will automatically reverse spindle rotation
• A powerful integrated coolant pump is part of the standard equipment
• The modern LED machine light is bright, long lasting, and provides optimum lighting for increased operator safety
• For quick tool changing, the SSB drill presses feature an ejection function within the quill that requires no tools
